動名詞の導入と運用
2.一言
はじめは like や enjoy の目的語としての動名詞にしぼり,生徒とのインタラクションの中で生徒に理解させるようにしています。
動名詞を使った文を充分に聞かせ,口頭練習をしてから,文法説明を行います。
3.導入例

T:I like playing sports. I like playing tennis. I like playing volleyball. I like playing badminton. Do you like playing sports, S1? (野球をしている生徒を指名して)
S1:Yes, I do.
T:What sport do you like?
S1:I like baseball.
T:Oh, you like playing baseball.
Me, too.
I like playing baseball.
I often played baseball when I was young.
I like watching baseball on TV, too.
I like watching Major League Baseball.
Do you like watching baseball, too, S1?
S1:Yes, I do.
T:You like playing baseball. And you also like watching baseball. Who likes music?
T:(手を挙げた人を指名して) Do you like playing music?(ジェスチャーを交えて)
S2:Yes, I do.
T:What do you play?
S2:I play the piano.
T:I see. Do you like listening to music, too?(ジェスチャーを交えて)
S2:Yes, I do.
T:Everyone, repeat after me. S2 likes listening to music.
Ss:S2 likes listening to music.
T:I like playing music and I also like listening to music. I enjoy playing the guitar on weekends.
4.活動例
インタビュー形式で,What do you enjoy on weekends [after school, etc.]? の質問を行い,I enjoy reading comics (on weekends). などの問答をさせる。
あらかじめ,生徒の答えそうな語句をドリルしておく。
(watching TV, shopping, listening to music, playing video games など)
